Tips on setting up a new business in Dubai

While many people dream of establishing their business presence in Dubai, what they don’t realize is the fact that, doing so is not as easy as they might think. There are a lot of rules and regulations set in place by the government to keep a stripped check on all the businesses established in Dubai. Now that you have made up your mind to go ahead with a new business setup in Dubai, there are certain tips that you should follow to make sure that the process is smooth and easy:

1- Sort out your visa and paper work

Before anything else, it is extremely important for you to get your visa and business documents sorted out. You will need to apply for a business visa. In order to ensure that your visa application is processed without any issues, make sure that your documents are properly in place.

2- Determine the location of your business

When you reach Dubai, it is time for you to start looking for a space to establish your business presence in. You have two choices in this regard. Either you can setup your business in the mainland Dubai, or you can choose one out of many free zones in Dubai that the government has setup. What you need to know establishing a business in the mainland is that you can only register a company in mainland if you have a local resident as a partner of at least 51% ownership. This means that the local sponsor will be the majority owner of your LLC company formation in Dubai. On the other hand, if you will establish your business in a free zone, you will get to retain 100% ownership. Look into these aspects and decide what is best for you.

3- Apply for your license and permit

To establish your business in Dubai, it is necessary for you to acquire the right business permit and licenses from the competent authorities. To make sure that the license is granted to you, make sure that your documents are in place.

4- Find a work space for rent

Once the license has been granted to you, it is time for you to start looking for a space to rent out. Make sure that the location you choose to establish your business in is strategically located so as to lure the maximum number of customers.
